Wynne and Stephen Redux

Wynne and Stephen are a couple of my fav's.  Above you will find a short version of their wedding documentary.  They were married in November 2006, and their wedding is still the talk of the town - literally!!!   MOB Debbe e-mailed me today to let me know that:

"Wynne and Stephen were in Waco for the Baylor game last week and afterwards they went out...Wynne told me that over the course of the night, two of her friends that she had not seen in awhile came up to her and said that they had been watching her wedding video recently!!!!"

So I thought I'd make it easier for everyone searching for where I've tucked it online.  Watch the full length documentary below:

Enjoy!

Dallas Wedding Video & Super 8 Wedding Film @ Belo Mansion

It was such a laid back day at Kristen's house for her backyard ceremony that I had NO idea how energetic her guests would be at the reception.

There was one man who did a jumping split during this dance - I got the tail end of it - see if you can spot it.  My jaw hit the floor shortly after he did.

We loved shooting their wedding video both to combine video and super 8 wedding film.  It blends together nicely.

Another great couple, and another great event.  Thanks Kristen, Nathan, and family for having me along, and thanks to Shelly and Clay for the referral!  We are honored to have been chosen as your Dallas wedding videographer.

Sarah and Adam, Intro

I'm high - once again - all natural - don't worry.  This is getting to be quite a habit.

After traveling across 2 timezones to shoot a 2 events last week, I had the rare opportunity of only having to venture 2 miles to document this weekend's celebration.

It would've been worth traveling for 2 full days to work on behalf of this couple and their families!

Sarah and Adam and their families, the Lundeens and Gardners, took us in like we were a part of the family.  Aunts, uncles, and cousins flew in from Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington D.C. for the rehearsal reunion, one should call it, at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

Saturday was about as peaceful as it gets - Dallas Wedding Coordinator Kay Watson kept everything running on time (as usual), and Gary Donihoo from f8studio snapped away all day long.  Keep an eye on his blog for a slideshow in the near future.

The reception was held at the Waco Art Center, quite a hidden gem of a location, and Bestyett Catering provided a luscious spread of delectable treats.  Love me an avocado bar anytime I can get one.

The Project Band out of Dallas rocked the crowd for about 3 hours.  It was hot outside, but that did not keep the guests from dancing until time ran out.

Thank you Lundeens and Gardners for allowing us to partake in such a wonderful occasion.  More to come in the months to follow

A Wedding in Hobbiton

Ok, I've been up for about 24 hours straight, but I just had to show you a bit of this amazing location where I will be shooting tomorrow.  It is literally in the middle of a redwood forest by a small pond with beautiful foliage all around.  I expect fairies to come flitting out tomorrow evening as Kristen* makes her grand entrance.

This is the view from the altar, looking up into the canopy:

There is also, I do promise, an earthen hobbit-house to the left of these trees.  I'll take a pic tomorrow.

Being a friend of the bride, I get to partake in the celebration a bit more, being a full fledged diner at the rehearsal dinner.  Dozens of guests gathered at Tapestry to eat, drink, and toast.  Here is my salad:

and my dessert, a peach pie:

And here's the happy couple, Kristen* and Todd, as they get regaled by one of K*'s brothers.

It has truly been a spirited evening, and I look forward to what tomorrow will bring.

Heading to Endor

Picture 1

This weekend, I will be among the redwoods, waterfalls, and cottages shooting a wedding of a friend in Nestldown and then another wedding for her company at the Ritz Carlton San Francisco.  I will be shooting with the fabulous team of Julie and Alex Hill of Elysium and alongside Modern Bride Trendsetter  photographer Elizabeth Messina.  Expect some pretty amazing imagery on down the line!

High temps will be 20-40 degress less than what I'm getting in Texas right now.  I might not come back.

It's a tough life, but somebody's got to live it.
