Wedding Bouquet Inspiration
/I love to garden, so seeing the floral arrangements at all of the weddings we film is one of my favorite things. The creativity of the florists we've worked with is astounding. Here are just a few of the inspiring flower arrangements in wedding bouquets that we've seen.
ECLECTIC & TEXTURED
I love this mixture of texture with succulents, fuzzy grey leaves, and tightly knit petals wrapped burlap ribbon. It was perfect for a backyard ranch wedding in the Texas countryside. Very shabby chic!

UNIQUE & SURPRISING
This gathering of lavender was carried by the maid of honor at wedding we recently filmed at Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, TX. The butterfly pin fit with the butterfly theme that the bride used throughout the whole day--butterflies hung from the ceiling at the reception, and little chalkboard DIY butterflies sat on the tables with each guest's name on them.
HIGH CONTRAST
When you're painting or working on any kind of visual art, contrast is something to consider. The level of contrast between the color and light values of two objects placed side by side can drastically affect the mood of an image. Whether or not you realize it, as a bride, you're probably already thinking about those kinds of things even if you haven't put it into those specific terms. "High-contrast" means that two objects are very different in the lightness/darkness and possibly in the amount of color/saturation of the objects. It often gives a punchy, high energy, preppy or extremely classical look to an image.
Bright bouquets stand in stark contrast to darker bridesmaid dresses--classic and preppy.

SOFT, SUBTLE, DREAMY
This gorgeous arrangement was created for Allison at her rustic destination wedding by Blue Lotus Floral.
Athough the lavenders and pinks differ in saturation, they are all pale colors, which makes the bouquets seem dreamy.

A bouquet of all-white florals can be soft and whimsical when you vary the length and shape of the flowers.
