Abbi and Ben, Intro

Abbi and Ben were married at the Palm Valley Lutheran Church in RoundRock and had their reception at the Coupland Dance Hall, giving their friends from Princeton quite the taste of rural Texas.  But I felt like a city slicker as well, almost getting lost while riding with photographer/portrait artist Gabriel Alonso back to Austin. 

But it was all meant to be.

Abbi caught me right before Christmas to see if I was available for her wedding less than one month away.  She is friends with Brooke and James, and after seeing their preview, she knew that she had make the call.  Fortunately, my calendar was blank!  My life would be less.

Morgan and Dustin, Intro

My couples are awesome...and so great looking - it's a wonder I don't turn all these little snippets into commercials - my couples could sell anything!

Meet Morgan and Dustin.  They've been together for quite a few years and made it official at the Smith Family Chapel in Austin with reception following at The Mansion at Judges Hill.

There's something about couples from Waco - they know how to throw a party.  Morgan picked The Pictures to entertain their guests, and believe me when I say this - they can cover more bands sounding just like the originals than anybody in town.  Michael Jackson - check.  Rick Springfield - check.  Journey - check.  Let me just put down my camera and join in the fun!

Morgan and Dustin, thanks for having us to document your wedding on the windy fall afternoon.  Y'all literally blew us away!

Brooke and James

Brooke called me a few months back about her October wedding in Salado at the Tenroc Ranch, and then we lost touch with one another for quite some time.

Thankfully, less than one month out from her wedding, Brooke emailed me again IN ALL CAPS hoping beyond hope that I could accommodate her and James for their wedding.

I made a way.

When attracting clients as cool as Brooke and James where there's such a good vibe, i'ts hard to turn 'em down.  It doesn't hurt when they're such a good looking couple as well (photographer: Kevin Curtis)!

Brooke and James met while both working for the Dallas Stars hockey team.  On the ice, while attitudes might flare up during a match, even the coldness of that surface couldn't quench the sparks of romance kindling in the front office!

Brooke and James, thanks for thinking enough of us to trust us to document your wedding.  We look forward to showing you more stunning footage from this (motion) picture perfect day.

Stonegate Mansion | "A Cowboy Hats & Cannoli kind of Wedding" Monica and Mike

Monica and Mike contacted me at the last second to create their wedding video, and I was thankful for their invitation.  Their event was a unique blend of passionate Italian and Latin heritage placed within the easygoing western tempo of Fort Worth.  Cowboy hats, bbq, and cannoli!

  

Check out their ceremony location, the Marty Leonard Chapel. If you're planning a wedding in Fort Worth, this is a place to consider.  Designed by E. Fay Jones (no relation), a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright and the designer of the famous Thorncrown Chapel in Arkansas, the Leonard chapel has Jones' signature design which allows bountiful natural light for picture taking.  Even better, it needs little to no extra decorating!

On hand to plan, entertain, and document the event was the all-star team of wedding coordinator Shari Johns, DJ Randal Stout, and photographer Gary Donihoo of f8studio.

Austin Wedding Video at Lakeway Resort and Spa, Alana & Brandon

I finally had the privilege of creating an Austin wedding video for an event by Austin wedding planner Dawn Earley of Your Own Fairy Godmother, and she sent me the right couple!

I've been looking forward to meeting Alana and Brandon all year.  Great, positive kids who were really excited about getting some super 8 wedding footage.  They certainly gave me a pretty event to shoot!  Take a look at some of these amazing photos from photographer Tyler Schmitt.
