New Orleans Wedding Video and Super 8 Wedding Film - 2 of 10

CeCe and Trevor had their New Orleans wedding at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, a breathtaking cathedral that transported me to memories of European travels.

After Hurricana Katrina caused extensive damage, the parishioners raised millions of dollars to restore it to form.  It's quite perfect!

Tomorrow's wedding video clip - super 8 wedding film coverage of the girls getting ready, and the story behind CeCe's historical veil.

New Orleans Wedding Video and Super 8 Wedding Film, 1 of 10

Welcome to all of my readers from Style Me Pretty.  Please continue to visit throughout the next two weeks for more clips from this wedding.

CeCe and Trevor had the wedding of the century in New Orleans.  From the crawfish at CeCe's brother's house Thursday night to their departure from the reception @ 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, the Villeres and Colhouns delivered a non-stop event of unparalleled magnificence for their guests.

Friday night, Trevor's brother delivered an amazing rehearsal dinner speech at Arnaud's, and it seemed to be a fitting narrative thread to play throughout the entire film.

The city of New Orleans is so full of personality that it plays as another character in the story, so I've chosen the intro, following a piece of Trevor's speech, to give the viewer a sense of that character.

For more photographs from throughout the event, visit Stephen Karlisch's website and be amazed.

Tomorrow - super 8 wedding film coverage of the rehearsal.

Stick around, this is a fun one!

Backing up your DVD's

One of my brides contacted me this week and asked how to make backup dvd's for her own safekeeping.

Since I don't make much (or any) money on duplicating dvd's, I have no problem with my brides making copies of their dvd's - as a matter of fact, I encourage it.  It saves me time, and it puts my work in the hands of those who can spread the good word about what I do.

Copying a dvd is very simple on a Macintosh computer, and I've made you a screen grab video to show you how.

I'm sorry to PC users because I don't know the specifics of the procedures described in the following video tailored to your situation.  Actually, I do, there's just one extra step:

(1) Find a friend with a Mac or buy one yourself :->, then follow the procedures in the video below.

Enjoy, and happy archiving.

Nevis, West Indies Super 8 Wedding at the Four Seasons

view from four seasons window in nevis for super 8 wedding

I woke up this morning and this was the view from my bed, so I thought I'd take a picture.

You might've guessed that I'm not in Waco today.

I'm on the tiny island of Nevis in the West Indies to create the wedding video of Taryn and Alex, a fantastic couple from New York that found me through Abby Larson's Style Me Pretty blog.

Last night was my first opportunity to meet Taryn and Alex, and they are quite an amazing and accomplished couple.  During the rehearsal dinner at the Montpelier Inn, their friends regaled the crowd with stories of their friendships throughout the years.  I was honored to be invited to share in such an intimate occasion with their inner circle.

I will be working alongside New York photojournalist Karen von Voigtlander, who, interestingly enough, shot her first destination wedding as an assistant to my officemate Huy Nguyen. We will be covering the ceremony at a unique location, the ruins of the Cottle Church with reception and bonfire to follow at the 4 Seasons Resort.

This is an all super 8 wedding shoot, so you'll have to wait a while to see anything.  In the meantime, enjoy my pics!
